‘By-law to ensure recruitment of Jordanians in construction tenders’

AMMAN — Public Works Minister Sami Halaseh on Thursday chaired a meeting of the Jordan National Building Council to discuss a draft by-law on new construction tenders that would guarantee the recruitment of local engineers and employees in projects implemented in the governorates.

It also entails providing a share of construction projects to sub-contractors based in the governorates, as well as employing fresh graduate engineers from the targeted governorates, Halaseh said in a ministry statement.
