By-law for customs exemptions on energy-efficient devices comes into force

AMMAN – The by-law on exempting renewable energy resources and equipment from customs duties was published in the Official Gazette on Sunday, officially coming into force.

Under the by-law, energy-efficient devices should cut power consumption by at least 20 per cent compared to other traditional equipment to be eligible for the exemptions.
