AMMAN — Labour Ministry Secretary General Hamadah Abu Nijmeh on Saturday chaired a preparatory meeting for a job fair that will be launched soon within the fourth phase of the national recruitment campaign to employ 60,000 Jordanians.
Abu Nijmeh said the ministry’s inspection and recruitment personnel had already started conducting surveys across the Kingdom in preparation to announce available job opportunities.
He added that the recent recruitment initiative, which was launched between the middle of this year and the end of July, secured 9,228 employment opportunities for jobseekers in remote areas.
The initiative focused on raising women’s economic participation, applying relevant legislation stipulating having 4 per cent of staff from people with disabilities, and assigning health and public safety supervisors, he added.
