Kuwait charity organisation provides soft loans to 750 Jordanian students

AMMAN — The International Islamic Charity Organisation (IICO) in Kuwait on Monday signed a cooperation agreement with the Hayat Education Fund (HEF) Association meant to provide soft loans to more than 750 distinguished Jordanian students, to continue their education. The agreement was signed by the Director of the IICO's office in Amman, Mustafa Al Awwad, and the HEF’s secretary of administrative committee, Ibrahim Bayoud, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Bayoud said that each beneficiary has access to a loan of up to JD1,000 which will be repaid in interest-free instalments. Students from various universities and institutes, both academic and vocational, are eligible to apply for these loans.
