AMMAN — The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), in cooperation with the Korean Alumni Association of Jordan (KAAJ), on Tuesday held the 2022 Annual Conference.

The Annual Conference dealt with various topics such as the introduction of the activities of KAAJ this year and the introduction of the 2022 online training course.

KAAJ was established in 2008 by Korean training programme participants to disseminate the knowledge and experience acquired in Korea. A total of 981 trainees have participated so far this year.

The workshop was attended by Country Director of KOICA Jordan Office SEO Dongsung, KAAJ board members and government officials, according to a statement from organisers.

During the conference, two trainees who participated in the global training programme in 2022, participated in activities related to “Capacity Building on Vocational Training Policy and System (2021-2023)” and “Integrated Water Resources Management (2022-2024)” shared experiences.

Nader Hassan, who attended the reinforcement of the vocational training programme, said that “the experience and new knowledge transfer through this training were very helpful,” thanking KOICA and the Korean government for providing various opportunities.

KOICA announced that “Capacity Building on Green Hydrogen (2023-2025)” and “Integrated Water Resources Management (2022-2024)” will be carried out as global training programmes in 2023.

Country Director of KOICA Jordan Office, Seo Dongsung, said: “We hope for continued knowledge exchange and cooperation between Korea and Jordan. This year, due to the pandemic of COVID-19, online training was replaced, but if the situation improves next year, we expect to conduct invitation training.”
