HANOI — Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh has said that the international community should stand with Jordan and help it in facing the danger of extremism and terrorism, pointing out that Islam has nothing to do with terrorism and that is should be promoted for what it is — a religion of peace and mercy.
In a speech at the Inter-Parliamentary Union’s (IPU) second assembly meeting, which opened in Vietnam’s capital on Saturday, Tarawneh highlighted the latest regional developments and anti-terrorism efforts.
