King visits Civil Defence Department

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, visited the Civil Defence Department (CDD) on Monday and met with its director general, Lt. Gen. Talal Kofahi.
King Abdullah checked on the services the CDD provides to ensure the safety of citizens and their properties and protect national achievements.
His Majesty expressed his appreciation of the efforts of CDD personnel, especially during emergencies.
He also extended his regards to all CDD personnel and voiced pride in their professional performance during the recent blizzard.
The King was briefed by Kofahi on the CDD's approach in implementing plans to boost its capabilities, procure new and advanced machinery and equipment, and expand its services through the creation of new CDD precincts across the Kingdom.
