AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday said that Jordan’s tribes have been constantly supporting the development process, stressing their historic role in protecting the country and its security. 

During a meeting with notables of the Bani Hassan tribe in Mafraq, the King stressed the importance of the historic role played by the tribes. 

He expressed pride in meeting with the members and notables of the Bani Hassan tribe. 

During the meeting, the King shed light on modernisation plans and projects to alleviate citizens’ burdens. 

His Majesty also talked about several regional and international issues, highlighting Jordan’s key role. 

The King also reiterated Jordan’s position towards the Palestinian issue and highlighted the sacrifices of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army in Palestine and Jerusalem.
