King, Spanish monarch discuss bolstering cooperation to counter COVID-19

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, in a phone call on Thursday with King Filipe VI of Spain, discussed bolstering bilateral and international cooperation to counter the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Discussions covered the importance of maintaining efforts to address the humanitarian and economic ramifications of COVID-19 and safeguard the health of peoples, as well as the two countries’ keenness to exchange expertise and assistance to limit the spread of the virus, according to a Royal Court statement.
The phone call also addressed the deep-rooted ties of friendship between Jordan and Spain and means to advance cooperation across all sectors, the statement said.
