King returns to Jordan after successful surgery

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania, returned to Jordan on Tuesday after undergoing successful surgery in Germany.

HRH Crown Prince Hussein, a number of Royal family members, and senior officials and officers were present to welcome King Abdullah upon arrival at Marka Military Airport, according to a Royal Court statement.

Royal Jordanian Air force fighter jets accompanied His Majesty’s aircraft upon entering the Kingdom’s airspace.

The King had undergone surgery at a specialised centre in Frankfurt last Tuesday to treat a thoracic herniated disc.
