AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday returned home after meeting with Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz at his residence in the Moroccan city of Tangier, and attending shows at the 2016 Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

On the sidelines of the tattoo, His Majesty met with UK Secretary of State for Defence Michael Fallon and discussed with him ways to enhance cooperation in the military, defence and training fields and the British support for Jordan in these domains, a Royal Court statement said.

The meeting also tackled the latest regional developments, especially efforts exerted in the war against terrorism, within a “comprehensive approach and regional and international partnership”.

The Tattoo was held in Edinburgh Castle with the participation of military bands representing several countries, including Jordan. It is one of the world’s largest parades.

During the meeting with King Salman, attended by Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman, the two leaders asserted the “deep-rooted ties” between the two kingdoms enhanced by the Saudi-Jordanian Coordination Council and by the continuous coordination on various Arab and Islamic issues.

King Abdullah and King Salman also discussed developments in the Middle East and the means to deal with them to enhance regional security and stability.
