AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah sent a cable of condolences on Tuesday to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi over the death of Egypt’s top prosecutor Hisham Barakat, who was assassinated in a booby-trapped car attack in Cairo on Monday.

Several Egyptian civilians and officers were injured in the attack which targeted innocent people, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

In the cable, King Abdullah strongly denounced such terrorist acts and stressed Jordan’s solidarity with Egypt and its leadership, under the current circumstances.

HRH Crown Prince Hussein, the Regent, also sent a similar cable of condolences to the Egyptian president.
