King receives letter from Senate president

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday received a letter from Senate President Faisal Fayez, who expressed senators’ appreciation of the Royal confidence, with their recent appointment.

In his letter, Fayez also expressed appreciation of His Majesty's renewed trust, with his reappointment as Senate president, pledging to continue working in service of Jordan, according to a Royal Court statement.

The Senate president noted the King's leadership in enabling Jordan to navigate regional developments, highlighting His Majesty's leading role in defending Arab causes, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause.

Fayez said the Senate will be dedicated to translating His Majesty’s vision to overcome new challenges and build on achievements, ensuring Jordan’s prosperity and safeguarding its security and stability, the statement said.
