King receives letter from Iraq PM

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday received a letter from Iraq Prime Minister Mustafa Al Kadhimi, delivered by Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ali Allawi.

 

During a meeting at Al Husseiniya Palace, King Abdullah reaffirmed Jordan’s support for Iraq and its people, in efforts to safeguard their country’s security and stability, according to a Royal Court statement.

His Majesty commended the level of coordination and cooperation with the Iraqi leadership and government, stressing the need to implement plans for bilateral economic projects between Jordan and Iraq, as well as trilateral projects with Egypt.

The King also asked the minister to convey his greetings to the Iraqi prime minister.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi attended the meeting.
