AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday received France President Emmanuel Macron, and affirmed that stopping the war on Gaza is an absolute necessity that the world must immediately move to address.

King Abdullah and the French president discussed international efforts to push for an end to the cycle of violence and reach a political horizon that ends the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, guarantees security and achieves just and comprehensive peace on the basis of the two-state solution, according to a Royal Court statement.

In the meeting at Al Husseiniya Palace, His Majesty warned against the continuation of the war on Gaza, which may lead to an explosion of the situation in the region.
