AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday received former president of the Lebanese Progressive Socialist Party Walid Joumblatt at Al Husseiniya Palace.
The meeting covered regional developments, with His Majesty stressing the need to reach a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and continue the delivery of aid across the Strip to prevent the exacerbation of the humanitarian disaster, according to a Royal Court statement.
The King warned of the threat of expanding conflict in the region, stressing the importance of maintaining Lebanon’s stability and security.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi attended the meeting.
