King, Queen attend coronation of King Charles III, Queen Camilla

AMMAN — Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania on Saturday attended the coronation service of King Charles III of the United Kingdom and Queen Camilla.

Held at Westminster Abbey in London, the coronation was attended by members of the UK royal family, as well as heads of state and delegation from various countries around the world, according to a Royal Court statement.

King Charles III ascended the throne following the passing of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, on September 8 last year.

Prior to the coronation service, Their Majesties on Friday attended the coronation reception in London, hosted by King Charles III of the United Kingdom and Queen Consort Camilla, in honour of heads of state slated to attend the coronation service.

Later on Saturday, the King returned to Jordan.
