Preventive Security facility fitted with latest technology, equipment

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, on Monday inaugurated the training premises of the explosives-handling unit, of the Public Security Department's (PSD) Preventative Security, which has been fitted with the latest technology and equipment.

King Abdullah, accompanied by PSD Director Maj. Gen. Fadel Hmoud, toured the new facility and reviewed the training programmes it offers, a Royal Court statement said.

His Majesty also attended a drill, during which participants applied procedures for handling explosives, ensuring the safety of the place and those present.

The King commended the high level of professionalism displayed by PSD personnel in the performance of their various tasks, according to the statement.
