AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday met with several military retirees who served at the Royal Armoured Battalion/2.

The gathering occurred at the home of retired Brig. Gen. Othman Darawsheh in Abu Al Luson village in the Mreighah District in the Southern Badia, a retired officer who attended the meeting said.

He said that during the meeting, His Majesty expressed his happiness to meet with them as the veterans shared their memories with the King during his service with them at the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF).

The King has always been keen on communicating with veterans and listening to them and checking on their conditions, the retired officer said.

His Majesty expressed his pride in all JAF personnel who have always been ready for the service of the homeland and defending it, praising the role of the devoted military retirees in all fields.

King Abdullah and attendees have had a long discussion on various local, regional and international issues.
