King meets US secretary of defence

Washington, DC — His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday met with US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin.

Discussions at the meeting, attended by HRH Hussein, covered the strategic partnership between Jordan and the United States, as well as prospects for defence and security cooperation.

The meeting also addressed the latest regional developments and ongoing regional and international efforts to counter terrorism within a holistic approach.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, and Jordan’s Ambassador in Washington, DC, Dina Kawar attended the meeting.
