AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday met with Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Iraq and Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert.
At the meeting held on the sidelines of the second Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership, King Abdullah stressed the importance of supporting Iraq’s development, prosperity, and stability as a cornerstone for regional stability, according to a Royal Court statement.
The meeting also covered the ongoing cooperation between Jordan and the UN across various sectors, as well as developments in the region.
