King meets Jordanian search, rescue team returning from Venezuela

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday met with the Jordanian International Search and Rescue Team, affiliated with the Public Security Directorate/Civil Defence Department, that recently returned from a humanitarian mission to Venezuela where they assisted with the aftermath of a double earthquake.

During the meeting, held at Al Husseiniya Palace, His Majesty was briefed by the team commander on the mission and the team’s efforts to support Venezuela’s search and rescue operations, according to a Royal Court statement.

The King underscored that the team’s efforts are an immense point of pride for the Jordanian people, commending the team for carrying out their humanitarian duty with exemplary standards.
