King meets Iraqi parliament speaker

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday met with Iraqi Parliament Speaker Mohammed Al Halboosi, on the sidelines of the fourth trilateral summit between Jordan, Egypt, and Iraq in Baghdad.

Discussions covered the deep-rooted ties between Jordan and Iraq, and keenness to bolster them further, according to a Royal Court statement.

King Abdullah reiterated Jordan’s support for Iraq’s efforts to maintain its unity and stability, in service of the aspirations of its people towards further progress and prosperity.

Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan attended the meeting.
