King holds talks with Sultan Qaboos of Oman

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday started an official visit to Oman, where he held talks with Sultan Qaboos in Muscat, according to a Royal Court statement. 

During the meeting, attended by HRH Prince Ghazi, the King’s personal envoy and religious affairs adviser, His Majesty commended the "deep, brotherly" and historical relations between Jordan and Oman and voiced his keenness to boost relations in all fields to achieve mutual interests. 

Talks also covered regional issues, focusing on the importance of reaching political solutions to crises facing the Middle East in order to restore security and stability for all people. 

From the Omani side, Minister of Diwan of Royal Court Sayyid Khalid Bin Hilal Al Busaidi attended the talks. 

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, on March 27, discussed with his Omani counterpart Yousuf Bin Alawi Bin Abdullah, scopes of enhancing bilateral ties and stressed keenness to further boost relations between the two countries in various domains.

Bin Abdullah represented his country in the Arab summit hosted by Jordan in late March.

HRH Prince Feisal was sworn in as Regent.
