King, French president discuss ties, regional developments

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, in a phone call on Saturday with French President Emmanuel Macron, discussed bilateral ties and regional developments.
King Abdullah expressed keenness on advancing relations further between Jordan and France across all fields, according to a Royal Court statement.
The phone call also covered ways to expand cooperation on food security, as well as developments in the Palestinian territories, with His Majesty stressing the importance of ceasing unilateral Israeli measures, which undermine peace prospects.
The King also congratulated President Macron on his reelection, wishing him success in service of France and its people.
