King departs for UK

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday departed on a visit to the United Kingdom.

During the visit, His Majesty is due to meet with senior executives of leading companies to discuss prospects for expanding economic cooperation between Jordan and the UK. The King will also attend part of the Jordan-United Kingdom Business Forum, according to a Royal Court statement.

HRH Crown Prince Hussein was sworn in as Regent, in the presence of Cabinet members.
