AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, on Tuesday paid a visit to the Muwafaq Salti Airbase.
The King, along with HRH Prince Feisal, listened to a briefing on the base's tasks and duties from its commander, citing the sacrifices of the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) pilots during wars, according to a Royal Court statement.
The Monarch underlined that the martyrdom of pilot Muath Kasasbeh was an example of these “sacrifices and heroism”.
He also commended the "high" level RJAF has reached and its "precision" in performing its duties.
Jordan has stepped up an air campaign against the Daesh terror group after it brutally executed Kasasbeh.
