King, in call with UK PM, reaffirms need for urgent international action to stop war in Gaza, Lebanon

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, in a phone call with UK Prime Minister Sir K\eir Starmer on Tuesday, reaffirmed the need for immediate and urgent action by the international community to stop the Israeli war on Gaza and Lebanon.

His Majesty warned of the danger of regional escalation, which could expand the circle of conflict and drag the region and the world towards a full-scale war with disastrous consequences, according to a Royal Court statement. 

The call also covered ways to enhance cooperation between Jordan and the UK across various sectors.
