AMMAN — The King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement on Wednesday called for entries for its 10th edition. The award chose the theme “Drug proliferation: Confrontation and treatment” for the literature and arts fields, and “unconventional water resources” for the science category.
For the Arab city category it chose “City identity: Preservation and development” as the theme, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The award stipulates that candidates should submit five copies of the work with a pledge from the candidate that the work has never won any local, regional or international award.
The candidate should be a citizen of an Arab country, where the candidacy of individuals should be verified through relevant institutions. The award comprises a certificate, a golden medallion with a picture of His Majesty King Abdullah and a cash prize of JD25,000, for each field.
