AMMAN — In the presence of HRH Princess Ghida Talal, chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Centre (KHCC), KHCF and Bank al Etihad on Wednesday signed an agreement to renew their strategic partnership for three years.
The agreement, which aims to bolster the foundation’s various programmes and initiatives, was signed by KHCF Director-General Nisreen Qatamish and Bank al Etihad CEO Muntaser Dawwas, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The signing ceremony was attended by the bank’s Founding Chairman Isam Salfiti, KHCC Director-General Asem Mansour, and Head of Education and Training Academy at KHCC Jamal Khader.
Under the terms of the agreement, the bank will continue to support the KHCC academy by covering its training and operational expenses.
Also, the bank will sponsor the "Save a Life" race, which is an initiative involving school students to raise funds for the treatment of underprivileged cancer patients at the KHCC.
Qatamish expressed pride in the strategic partnership, noting that it reflects a “firm” belief in the foundation’s mission and a genuine commitment to supporting cancer patients.
She also commended the bank’s support for the academy, highlighting its pivotal role in developing medical competencies and keeping pace with the latest advancements in oncology.
Through this partnership, the foundation seeks to expand training and educational programmes to improve the quality of patient care.
For his part, Dawwas voiced his pride in the ongoing collaboration with the KHCF, describing it as a “model” for cooperation aimed at creating a sustainable social impact.
He said that Bank al Etihad views supporting the health sector, empowering medical professionals, and contributing to the treatment of underprivileged patients as a “core responsibility”.
