Khasawneh stresses support for Audit Bureau’s mission in safeguarding public funds

AMMAN — The Audit Bureau enjoys full support in its mission to protect public money and ensure procedural integrity, Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh said on Monday, highlighting the bureau's central role as a constitutional and independent monitoring agency dedicated to ensuring administrative transparency.

During the Lower House session on Monday, Khasawneh highlighted the engagement of the ministerial committee tasked with reviewing the findings of the Audit Bureau, noting that through the joint effort, several violations identified are being addressed via routine meetings at the Prime Ministry.

The prime minister expressed his appreciation for the role of the Audit Bureau as an independent and respected monitoring body, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Khasawneh also highlighted the significant progress noted in the Audit Bureau's latest report and acknowledged the bureau's commitment to introducing best international practices in the operations of the institution.
