AMMAN — First Deputy Speaker of the Lower House Ahmed Khalaileh and Deputy Speaker of the Qatari Shura Council Hamda Al Sulaiti on Saturday noted that the depth of Jordanian-Qatari relations has reached an “advanced level” during a meeting on the sidelines of the 17th session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean currently being held in the Moroccan capital, Rabat.

Both sides discussed ways of enhancing parliamentary cooperation, and stressed the importance of coordinating joint parliamentary positions in service of Arab and Islamic issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause.

The meeting also addressed updating legislation and laws governing the investment environment in Jordan, Khalaileh said, calling to enhance Qatari investments in Jordan and bring Jordanian labour to work in Doha, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
