AMMAN — The Director General of the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Centre (KASOTC) on Tuesday received several ambassadors accredited to the Kingdom from allied countries.
The ambassadors were briefed on the centre’s operations and state-of-the-art training facilities in counter-terrorism, special operations, and joint military exercises, as well as on the framework for cooperation with countries whose personnel regularly train at KASOTC, according to a statement.
“KASOTC provides a unique environment and a rare model of excellence in specialised military training, enabling personnel and units from around the world to enhance their combat skills by integrating advanced technologies with real-world operational experience,” the Director General said.
He stressed that the establishment of the centre reflects Jordan’s firm commitment to working with partners and allies in addressing global and regional security challenges. He added that such visits provide valuable opportunities to deepen military cooperation and share expertise in countering modern threats.
The delegation toured the centre’s facilities, including its specialised departments and field-training areas, and commended KASOTC for its advanced capabilities and its pivotal role in training and qualifying special forces at both the regional and international levels.
Established in 2009 following the guidance of His Majesty King Abdullah, KASOTC serves as a world-class hub for training, cooperation, and knowledge-sharing in special operations, counter-terrorism, and internal security.
