Kalaldeh calls for more cooperation between legislative, executive powers

AMMAN — Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs Khaled Al Kalaldeh said late last week that the relationship between the legislative and executive authorities is based on cooperation, according to a ministry statement released Saturday.

Speaking at a conference organised by the ministry on Thursday, Kalaldeh called for enhancing cooperation between the two authorities and strengthening the Lower House.

MP Ahmad Safadi, the Lower House speaker’s first deputy, called for amending the Elections Law to ensure that parliamentary blocs are more effective, the statement said.
