KAFD launches second cycle of funding to support digital game developers

AMMAN — The King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD) on Sunday launched the second cycle of funding to support digital game developers.
According to a KAFD statement, through the Jordan Gaming Lab, the funding provides financial and logistical support to individual developers and start-ups affiliated with the gaming industry and help them network with international institutions.
An amount of JD5,000 will be granted to individual developers, while an amount of JD 10,000 will be granted to start-ups.
The statement called on individuals and start-ups wishing to obtain support to apply through HYPERLINK "https://fund.gaminglab.jo" \hhttps://fund.gaminglab.jo as of Sunday, until July 17.
A specialised technical committee will evaluate the nominated applications and select the eligible projects.
The Jordan Gaming Lab was established as one of His Majesty King Abdullah’s initiatives in 2011 and was designated to serve the needs of developers and companies specialised in designing and programming digital games, as well as to serve as an incubator for Jordanian youth creative projects.
