JUST signs research agreements with Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, UniSZA

AMMAN — The Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with Universiti Malaysia Kelantan to foster collaboration in four research projects. 

A delegation from Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, one of the world’s top 1000 universities, was present in Jordan for the signing ceremony at JUST, according to a Malaysian embassy statement. 

The research MoA signed is part of the impacts of the Matching Research Grant initiative by Education Malaysia Jordan, Embassy of Malaysia Amman. This research-driven collaboration aims to leverage collective expertise and resources from both countries to promote scientific innovation and knowledge-sharing in the broad field of technology and engineering, the statement said. 

In another session, JUST signed five research agreements with Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) under the same initiative by Education Malaysia Jordan. 

The vice chancellor of UMK, Datuk Razli Che Razak, expressed his enthusiasm for this collaboration. “The partnership will create new avenues for academic growth, encourage cross-cultural understanding and pave the way for groundbreaking discoveries,” he said.

JUST President Khalid Al Salem expressed his excitement for the prospects of this collaboration to collectively address global challenges, enhance research capabilities and make significant contributions to academia and society.

“The partnership sets the stage for a bright future of collaborative research, academic growth and cultural understanding between Malaysia and Jordan,” said Mohamad Nasri Abdul Rahman, Malaysia’s ambassador to Jordan. 

Radzuwan Ab Rashid, the Minister Counsellor (Education) of the Malaysian embassy in Amman, university officials and researchers attended the signing ceremony.
