AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh on Saturday met with former British prime minister and former envoy of the Quartet Tony Blair on the Middle East, and discussed recent developments in the region and efforts to achieve peace.
The two officials discussed initiating serious and effective peace negotiations within a set timeframe between Palestine and Israel. Judeh said Jordan is not a mediator or an observer in the peace process but a stakeholder that considers establishing the Palestinian state a high national interest.
Blair commended Jordan’s efforts to achieve significant progress in the peace process and establish security and stability.
