JRCS launches second volunteer medical campaign

AMMAN — The Jordan Red Crescent Society (JRCS), in partnership with the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) and with the support of Kuwait Finance House on Thursday launched the second volunteer medical campaign to perform necessary surgeries for Syrian and Palestinian refugees in Jordan.

The project also featured the participation of Kuwaiti medical specialists. JRCS said that the three-day campaign has scheduled 80 surgeries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

JRCS Secretary General Salim Kheir commended the continuous support of Kuwait Red Crescent Society and the efforts exerted to alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable members of society.

Kuwaiti Ambassador to Jordan Aziz Dihani highlighted the importance of this humanitarian work and this “big” project, praising the efforts of both Red Crescent societies and the Kuwait Finance House. KRCS Secretary General Maha Barjis stressed the ongoing support offered to Syrian and Palestinian refugees in Jordan, expressing appreciation for the partners’ work for the success of these surgeries.
