AMMAN — Chairman of the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company Mohammad Thneibat on Tuesday announced reaching a solution to the issue of workers at the Jordan Abyad Fertilisers & Chemicals Company (JAFCCO), who will receive their financial dues before the end of the month.
The agreement was reached during a meeting headed by Thneibat in the presence of the Bahraini partner and chairman of JAFCCO Abdul Latif Janahi and Abdul Ghani Jaafar, board member of the Arab Mining Company, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
By the end of 2016, JAFCCO workers had organised several protests over the lay-off of 75 employees and the three-month-overdue salaries of 386 employees.
