AMMAN — The Kingdom's tourism income increased during the first 11 months of 2022 by 115 per cent to reach $5.3 billion, compared with the same period last year, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported citing data from the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ).

This growth was a result of the increase in the number of tourists arriving to the Kingdom by about 2.4 million, totalling 4.6 million, according to the CBJ.

Volume of tourist spending outside the Kingdom soared to $1.351 billion during the first 11 months of 2022, marking an increase of 60.8 per cent over the corresponding period in 2021, as a result of the hike in the number of Jordanian tourists travelling abroad, CBJ figures showed.
