Jordan’s economy expected to grow 2.7% in 2022 — IMF

AMMAN — Jordan’s economy is expected to grow by 2 per cent and 2.7 per cent in 2021 and 2022 respectively, according to an International Monetary Fund (IMF) report.

In its World Economic Outlook report, the IMF expected Jordan's economy to grow by 3.1 per cent in 2023, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

On the regional level, the IMF forecasts the Middle East to grow by 2.7 per cent in 2021 and 4.1 per cent in 2022. The IMF lowered its 2021 global growth forecast to 5.9 per cent, while left a 2022 global growth forecast unchanged at 4.9 per cent.
