AMMAN — Ambassador Majid Qatarneh on Monday presented his credentials to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as the accredited and resident ambassador of Jordan to the UAE.
The ceremony was held at Al Watan Palace in Abu Dhabi, where Qatarneh conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah to Sheikh Mohamed and extended his wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the Emirati people, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
Sheikh Mohamed requested that his greetings and appreciation be conveyed to King Abdullah.
He also commended the King’s wise policies and the distinguished relations between the two countries, reaffirming the UAE’s interest in boosting ties with Jordan, and wishing the Kingdom and its people continued progress and prosperity.
Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended the credentials ceremony.
