AMMAN — Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration Tawfiq Kreishan on Sunday attended the awards ceremony for the 2023 Municipalities Cleanliness Award in its first edition.
Kreishan said that the occasion reflects His Majesty's directives, which he stressed during the closing session of the Municipalities Conference held in December 2019, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Kreishan said Jordan's municipalities began to focus on development, services and their community role, and the new Local Administration Law of 2021 allowed municipalities to partner with the private sector to establish local investment and development projects, enabling them to enhance their revenue and improve services.
