AMMAN — The Civil Status and Passports Department (CSPD) on Sunday called on citizens visiting its headquarters or any affiliated office to provide their detailed addresses.
CSPD Director Marwan Qteishat said Article 56 of the Civil Status Law obliges citizens to provide their addresses, including the governorate, city, town, neighbourhood and street, as well as phone numbers.
Qteishat said addresses are legally binding for citizens and are required for judicial, administrative and financial procedures, adding that Jordanians are required to update their contact details at the CSPD within 30 days of changing their addresses.
