Jordanians urged not to travel to Ukraine

AMMAN — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Saturday urged Jordanian citizens to not travel to Ukraine during this period. In a statement, the ministry also called on Jordanians in Ukraine to leave the country, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The ministry renewed its call on Jordanians in Ukraine to register their data to communicate with them on this link: https://mfa.gov.jo/ar/embassy/Ankara/form. A total of 2,606 Jordanians are residing in Ukraine, including 727 students at 37 universities, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Haitham Abul Foul said on Saturday.

The ministry stressed that it is following up on the developments in Ukraine through the Kingdom's embassy in Ankara and through the operations centre at the ministry's headquarters considering Russia’s possible invasion, according to Al Rai Daily. In case of emergency, the ministry also called on Jordanians to contact the embassy in Ankara on 00905384419586, the cultural office in Kiev on 00380939361181, or the ministry's operations centre on 00962795497777.
