'Jordanian women reported missing in Saudi Arabia found'

AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry on Tuesday announced that the two Jordanian women who were reported missing while performing umra (the lesser Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca) have been found.

The families of the two women on Monday reported to the ministry's operations centre that they were missing, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Sabah Al Rafie said the general consulate in Jeddah contacted the Saudi authorities and Jordanian community members in Medina Munawara, and the two women were found on Tuesday.

The spokesperson said they are in good condition. The women were missing because they could not reach the assembly point of their umra group, and their disappearance had nothing to do with the terrorist attack that took place in Medina Munawara on Monday, Petra added.
