AMMAN — The Royal Jordanian Navy and Royal Boats on Tuesday conducted a joint naval exercise with their Pakistani counterparts.

The exercise included the participation of Jordan's combat boats, frogmen units, the 77th Marine Infantry Battalion, and the ship inspection team, alongside teams from the Pakistani Marines and Frogmen, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The exercise aimed to unify military concepts, exchange expertise, and enhance the operational capabilities of participants, preparing them for rapid responses in complex maritime environments.

These scenarios are designed to address current and future maritime security threats within the region.

Activities during the drill included ship boarding and inspection operations, protection of maritime navigation routes, combating piracy and smuggling, safeguarding critical infrastructure, as well as rescue and field medical evacuation operations.

The Royal Jordanian Navy regularly conducts joint exercises with allied nations to bolster military cooperation and ensure readiness for a wide range of operational challenges within its area of responsibility.
