AMMAN — Oman Ambassador to Jordan Khamis Faris on Saturday said that there are around 1, 000 Omani students currently studying at Jordanian universities, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
In a meeting with the press, Faris described Jordanian-Omani ties as a “role model” of cooperation between countries.
The first Omani embassy in Jordan was opened in 1975, but Omani students began studying in the Kingdom years earlier, he said, adding that Omani higher education institutions also host a number of professors from Jordanian universities.
On economic ties, the ambassador said that Jordanian exports to Oman reached JD50 million, while the Omani exports to the Kingdom amounted to JD25 million.
