AMMAN — The Jordanian Military Field Hospital Turkey 1 on Tuesday began providing healthcare services in the Kahramanmaraş region, engaging a 110-member medical staff including doctors, nurses, supporting professionals and technical and administrative personnel.

The hospital includes outpatient clinics, operating rooms, resuscitation, radiology department, laboratory, intensive care unit, and a sterilisation department, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Col. Mohammad Bani Hani, commander of the Military Field Hospital, said: "This hospital is a response to  the Royal directives and upon the orders of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to stand by the Turkish people."

Essential medicines and medical supplies were offered to Turkish hospitals by the commander of the Military Field Hospital on behalf of the people and government of Jordan to help ease the suffering caused by the earthquake.

The patients expressed appreciation of Jordan, its leadership, government and people for this humanitarian gesture.
