Jordanian joins race for 'Hope Maker' title

AMMAN — Worood Sultan Khasawneh, a Jordanian from Zarqa Governorate, is running for the "Hope Makers" initiative launched recently by UAE Deputy President and Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashed Al Maktoum, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

"Hope Makers is driven by Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashed Al Maktoum’s belief that hope, work, positivity and optimism are what the Arab world needs, regardless of how bad the region’s circumstances are," according to the initiative's website, which also says the first-placed winner is awarded 1 million AED and the title "The Hope Maker".

Khasawneh travelled to the UAE in 2000 and has established a chain of kindergartens there with more than 30 branches. The public can vote for candidates at arabhopemakers.com.
